This year UES produced a new sweatshirt comprised of desi cotton from Uganda; so it’s different that the Puca Pucara Aspero they previously used, but it feels the same high quality to us. Outer thread is a blend of desi cotton and organic cotton from Uganda. Desi cotton creates a unique wool-like dry touch. Desi cotton has a fiber structure very similar to Aspero cotton, which is the raw material for Purcara.
Another feature is that the lining is made from Zimbabwean brown cotton. Compared to Purcara sweat, Ugandan organic cotton is of higher quality and whiter, and the oatmeal and heather gray shades are slightly different and have a slightly softer feel, but the finish is almost equal to Purcara sweat.
